Warts​

Warts are rough growths on human skin resembling cauliflowers that come in all shapes and sized. They are caused by a virus known as human papillomavirus (HPV) and can spread by direct contact with the virus. It is possible to infect another body part by touching an existing wart and transferring the virus to a new location on the skin. It is also possible to infect another person by sharing personal items that have come in contact with affected skin or as mentioned by direct contact. Some people are more prone to getting warts than others. Warts have different types can occur anywhere on the body. They are most commonly seen on the hands, feet, face and the genital area. It is important to know that warts on the genital area are considered as sexually transmitted disease. Treatment options include topical medications, cryosurgery, electrocautery, simple excision to cut out the warts or laser surgery.
